SAM WYCHE, one of Paul Brown's original Cincinnati Bengals in 1968. Sam played on George Allen's "Over-the-Hill-Gang" as a Washington Redskin and played in Super Bowl VII vs the 17-0 Miami Dolphins. Sam also played for the Detroit Lions, St. Louis Cardinals, and Buffalo Bills before retiring as a player in 1976. Beginning in 1979, Sam began his coaching career, directing the passing game for Bill Walsh's San Fransico 49ers from 1979-1982, and coached Joe Montana to his first Super Bowl victory in Super Bowl XVI. Sam was later named Head Coach at Indiana State University and become the Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals from 1984-1991.
